Marilyn Cordial
About the Artist

Marilyn's warm and sultry voice is an unmistakable original. Her CD,  "Marilyn Cordial The Jazz Project," features Marilyn's soulful performances of traditional and straight-ahead jazz, r & b, swing, soulful ballads, and Latin rhythms.  Marilyn performs music by Johnny Mercer, Cole Porter, Nina Simone, Duke Ellington, Burt Bacharach, Luis Demetrio, Pablo Ruiz and many more.

Marilyn is one of Cleveland's favorite singers performing around the U.S. and international travels including Paris, London,  Munich, cities in Italy and Spain, Croatia and others. Marilyn has opened for musical artists: Tina Turner, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Edwin McCain, blues artist Beth Hart and others.  Marilyn sings the national anthem for NBA teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Houston Rockets, and for special events including the House of Blues Chicago Gospel Brunch and the IMG Grand Prix in Cleveland.

Marilyn grew up in Powell, Ohio.  At age three, taught by her mother, Marilyn wrote her first song on piano and began studying music and learning to play every instrument she could find.  As a teenager she began focusing all of her musical talents on her favorite styles... pop, jazz, and r & b. She performed in theater productions at The Ohio State University as "Rizzo," in Grease and others. What is reflected in Marilyn's music today is the passion and appreciation for diverse soulful musical styles, an innate love of rhythm and excitement to always create something new.

With excellent reviews and excitement about "The Jazz Project," Marilyn Cordial's debut release is a jazz hit.  Be sure to seek out her live shows in support of this great album and her always exciting performances.
